On Friday 30th June 2014, the peak industry advisory body for Chinese DNS operations, the Chinese Domain Name Consortium, voted during its annual meeting in Shanghai to admit TLD Registry Ltd as a member. The CNDC was established on May 19th, 2000 in Beijing by the China Network Information Center (CNNIC), the Taiwan Network Information Center (TWNIC), the Hong Kong Network Information Center (HKNIC) and the Macau Network Information Center (MONIC). Our CMO, Simon Cousins, presented a talk at HostingCon China in Shanghai on May 23rd, 2014. In that talk, he provided an overview of all the open Chinese new gTLDs, and their current stage of availability or development.
